Privacy Policy

Who operates this service

Veteran EMS Consulting LLC operates VEC Academy. AcuityForge has separate accounts, study records, billing, and policies. This policy applies to vecacademy.com. AcuityForge at acuityforge.app and the business website at veteranemsconsulting.com have their own policies.

Information and purposes

We process account email and identifiers, verified identity and security records, legal name and EMS license details you provide, course attendance, viewing progress, answers and scores, remediation, evaluations, attestations, completion certificates, and reporting/audit records. We use these to deliver courses, verify participation, provide support, maintain educational records, and make applicable regulatory reports. Review accounts are distinct from learner records.

Service providers

Firebase authenticates email/password accounts and sends verification and password-reset emails. Cloudflare hosts the website, course databases, and instructional media. Essential cookies support authentication and review access. This Academy does not use learner submissions for an AI tutor and does not process an Academy checkout. Links to AcuityForge or other services take you to their separate policies. Narration produced for our lessons does not require sharing your learner information with a narration provider.

Website analytics

We keep unlinked browser page-load and server-request counts with paths, referral domains, campaign labels, device categories, and available approximate network locations. If you allow optional analytics, first-party cookies connect page views and clicks into visits and recognize returning browsers. If you sign in with ChatGPT, the platform-provided email may appear in an opted-in visit; anonymous browsers remain anonymous. Browser privacy signals disable detailed tracking. Analytics choices do not affect course access or required educational records.

With your analytics permission, your browser may contact IPWHOIS.IO over HTTPS for an approximate IP-based country, region, and city. That provider receives your network IP; our analytics store only the estimate, not the raw IP. No page referrer, course answers, or account details are sent to that lookup. We do not track form contents, passwords, query strings, or make screen recordings. Detailed analytics expire after 90 days with request-driven cleanup; educational records retain their separate retention rules. Declining analytics clears the visit cookies and keeps unlinked counts.

Retention and choices

Completed course records are retained for at least five years after completion and longer if needed for applicable reporting, disputes, or legal obligations. Progress, incomplete activities, and account records currently have no automatic expiration. Owner exports and backups are separate copies. Deleting a login or an AcuityForge account does not erase required Academy records.

Request access, correction, account closure, deletion of information that need not be retained, or an explanation of retained records at andrew@veteranemsconsulting.com. We verify identity and explain retention limits. Do not send a password or patient information.

Sharing and security

Authorized staff and service providers access information as needed to operate the Academy. We may provide required educational records to regulators or disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights. We do not sell personal information. Access controls and secure connections reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. The service operates in the United States; providers may process information in other locations under their arrangements.

Use fictional cases

Do not enter identifiable patient information, confidential employer records, or restricted examination material. Course free-text entries should describe learning, not real patient records.
